I am excited to introduce a young woman who will be interning with me this summer. Kamri Washington currently attends Texas Christian University. Prior to TCU, she attended the Academy of the Sacred Heart in New Orleans for twelve years. Kamri is going to be a sophomore in the fall studying Finance and Real Estate at The Neely School of Business.
Kamri and I met through Rock the Street Wall Street, a financial literacy program designed to spark the interest of high school girls into careers of finance. Naturally, I was thrilled when she reached out this winter to inquire about internship opportunities. Kamri will be joining me on calls and meetings throughout the summer.
Change is afoot for me as well. I am moving out of my home office and renting a lovely single office in the Freret Street corridor of New Orleans. There’s a growing list of delicious lunch spots and coffee shops within walking distance. It will be nice to establish a new routine in a new private space.
